Thank you once again for a fantastic rafting adventure! I brought my mother and sisters along for their first ever rafting experience and, they to, can’t wait to come back. The campground was beautiful. The food was great. Most of all, your staff can’t be beat! I will always recommend a rafting trip to my adventurous friends and always your company. ARR ROCKS!! – Thanks again, Sarah

Reserve Today, Raft Tomorrow!

Are you ready for a whitewater rafting adventure? We love to share the rush of white water rafting with as many people as we can, but our weekends fill up quickly, so we make reservations on a first come, first served basis. After selecting your river trip, we suggest calling our office or checking online to confirm date availability. A deposit is required at the time of reservation. Once we’ve nailed down a date, we’ll send you a travel packet containing trip details, a map to the river, a list of essential items, camping and lodging information, and optional insurance information, right to your doorstep. If your reservation is made in advance, the remainder of the trip rate is due 30 days before launch. A full payment is required if your reservation is made within 30 days of the trip. American River Recreation accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

We also require each trip participant to complete our Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability Agreement Form. You can download and print the form, then bring it with you for check-in the morning of your whitewater rafting tour. Ready to get started? Reserve your spot online, now!

Group Rafting Discounts

We offer generous group discounts starting at just six people. To submit payment, please include a single check or each participant’s individual payments at the same time. If charging the payment, contact our office with the credit card information. Following payment, we will then send the trip confirmation packet to the group organizer. It is then their responsibility to distribute all important information in the packet, as well as our cancellation policy and liability release forms to all participants joining American River Recreation on one of our exciting rafting adventures.

  • 6 people – with 5 paid rafters, the 6th goes for half fare
  • 24 people or more – please call for special large group pricing
California Rafting

Group reservations are a breeze with American River Recreation!

If you’re planning a whitewater rafting trip for 24 or more, call our office for a free group organizer packet. This packet contains promotional items such as extra brochures, posters, sign-up sheets, testimonials  and a few tips on organizing your trip.

ARR Cancellation Policy

Due to space and seasonal restrictions, our world-class rafting trips often fill up fast. Please understand that when we hold your reservation for you, we are often forced to turn others away. Therefore, we have established the following cancellation policy. Trip insurance is recommended for all rafting tours and is available through our office.

30 Days or more: A full Trip Credit will be issued for trip cancellations made 30 days or more before the start date.

0 – 29 Days: There are no refunds or trip credits issued for “no shows” or trip cancellations made 0 – 29 days prior to the trip start date.

Give the Gift of Adventure

We have gift certificates available for all our California whitewater rafting trips. We also have commemorative T-shirts, caps, and other water rafting trip supplies. Great gifts and a lifetime of memories!

Supporting California River Conservation

We support the continued development of California whitewater rafting as a recreational and treasured pastime. In order to ensure the future of rafting recreation, a portion of each person’s fee is passed through to Friends of the River, California Outdoors, and the Planning and Conservation League.
