An Action-packed Class IV Rafting Adventure near Southern California
This 9-mile rafting expedition features non-stop class IV action, including such rapids as Power House, Cyanotic, Holiday Hole, and Suicide Falls. Situated among the dramatic snowcapped mountain peaks of the High Sierra, the headwaters of the Kaweah River plummet to our starting point just miles outside of Sequoia National Park.
The river tour also includes the Slickies, a thrilling two-part rapid that ends in a hair-raising reversal. As such, this white water rafting adventure is designed for guests with prior class III experience, who are in good physical condition and possess strong swimming skills.
The Kaweah River runs through ancient Redwood groves, the impressive Kings Canyon and Mineral King Park. While, American River Recreation offers 1-day white water rafting trips, many of our guests also enjoy the area’s numerous camping and lodging offerings. Wet suits are required and will be provided through May.
